Honor Scholarship

Overview

The Medallion Scholarship Program is Western Michigan University’s most prestigious merit-based scholarship for undergraduates, co-sponsored by the Lee Honors College and the Office of Admissions. It is among the largest merit-based scholarship programs in American higher education and was designed to recognize students who demonstrate the Medallion Ethic, a spirit of commitment to excellence and leadership that challenges each scholar to make a difference. Medallion Scholars are members of WMU’s Lee Honors College and receive diverse benefits, including smaller class sizes, individualized academic advising, and a freshman mentoring program.
