Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant

Overview

The Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant is one of the two biggest federal grant programs established to help make college accessible for everyone so that all students can pursue their dreams. This program provides financial assistance that does not have to be repaid to undergraduate students who demonstrate exceptional financial need. Eligibility is primarily determined by the results of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), and priority is given to students who are also recipients of the Federal Pell Grant.
