This scholarship was created to honor and remember Samantha Olekszy, a graduate of the Class of 2015 from Walled Lake Western HS who passed away unexpectedly in September 2023. She was a former student athlete who graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality and was known for balancing athletics and academics while showing great character. This scholarship recognizes a student who plans to further their education and has a passion for travel, party planning, or reading.
