Joan Calhoun Scholarship

Overview

The Joan Calhoun Scholarship was established in honor of Joan Calhoun, a former teacher and administrator who served the Walled Lake Schools for twenty-eight years, including fourteen years as a Spanish teacher at Central High School. This scholarship was created to honor her legacy and support students pursuing careers in education or social services. It specifically recognizes outstanding achievement in a world language and is awarded in even-numbered years to graduates of the district.
