WCC STEM Scholars Program

Overview

The WCC STEM Scholars Program was created to encourage, support and facilitate success for students interested in STEM careers and seeking degrees in STEM disciplines. WCC has partnered with four Michigan universities (Michigan State University, University of Michigan, Wayne State University and Western Michigan University) along with Mott Community College in a National Science Foundation grant (NSF), called the MI-LSAMP (Louis Stokes Alliances for Minority Participation). The MI-LSAMP initiative supports historically underrepresented students in STEM as well as all STEM students, and is designed to substantially increase the quantity and quality of STEM students successfully transferring and completing STEM degrees.
