Scholarships for Students With Disabilities

Overview

Washtenaw Community College offers several scholarships for students with documented physical or learning disabilities, including the Burt Black Memorial Fund and the Learning Disabilities Association Scholarship. The Burt Black Memorial Fund was established in 2004 to honor Burt Black, a 1997 Huron High School graduate and WCC student who pursued his dreams at the University of Michigan majoring in sports management and communication despite significant physical and learning challenges. These scholarships recognize students who demonstrate perseverance and diligence in reaching their goals, modeled after the example set by Burt Black.
