Overview

The American Legion Department of Michigan offers several scholarship opportunities and youth programs including the Michigan Boys State Program and the Michigan State Police Student Trooper Program. The Boys State program is a non-partisan and non-political mock government exercise intended to mirror the structure and operation of state government while instilling character, civic engagement, and patriotism. The Student Trooper Program provides hands-on exploration of law enforcement careers through training in firearms handling, self-defense, forensics, and physical tactics.
