Nicholas & Rose Offenbacher Scholarship Fund

Overview

Rose (Van Ness) Offenbacher graduated from Athens High School in 1939. She attended the Nichol’s Hospital Nursing program and became a licensed practical nurse. She later graduated from KCC and became a registered nurse. During this time, she worked in several doctors’ offices in Battle Creek and then for Leila Hospital, where she became charge nurse of the ICU/CCU and PCU. Rose married Nicholas Offenbacher in 1940. Nick graduated from Union City High School and worked at Oliver Corporation, and then Clark Equipment Company. This scholarship was established to benefit graduating seniors of Athens Area Schools.
