Overview
The Gardiner Scholarship (originally known as the Personal Learning Scholarship Account or PLSA) was a groundbreaking education savings account program in Florida designed for students with specific disabilities. Named in honor of former Florida Senate President Andy Gardiner and his family, the program allowed parents to customize their child's education. In 2021, the Florida Legislature merged the Gardiner Scholarship into the Family Empowerment Scholarship for Students with Unique Abilities (FES-UA).
