SLEF Teacher Grants

Overview

SLEF grants are awarded to enhance student learning and involvement, and to encourage innovative educational activities for South Lyon students. The South Lyon Educational Foundation (SLEF) was created by a group of dedicated parents, teachers and community leaders motivated to help the district provide the best possible educational opportunities for our kids. Michigan's public schools often are expected to do more with less, and that's especially true in South Lyon, where school funding decisions made at the state level have frequently left our district with far less per pupil funding than other communities. Since 2018, SLEF has been doing its best to close that gap.
