SLEF Student Grants

Overview

The South Lyon Educational Foundation (SLEF) was created by a group of dedicated parents; teachers; and community leaders motivated to help the South Lyon Community Schools district provide the best possible educational opportunities for students. Michigan's public schools often are expected to do more with less; especially in South Lyon; where school funding decisions made at the state level have frequently left the district with far less per-pupil funding than other communities. SLEF aims to fill the gaps between the fixed costs of running a school district and the resources needed for academic innovation and educational opportunities.
