Overview
The Family Empowerment Scholarship for Students with Unique Abilities (FES-UA), formerly known as the Gardiner Scholarship, provides an Education Savings Account (ESA) for Florida students with specific disabilities. It was established to provide families with the ability to personalize the education of their children by directing money toward a combination of programs and approved providers. The program was designed to support students with diagnoses such as autism, Down syndrome, and cerebral palsy by allowing funds to be used for specialized services, therapists, and private school tuition.
