Overview
The Louisiana Student Scholarships for Educational Excellence Program, also known as the Louisiana Scholarship Program, provides low-income families with children in low-performing schools the opportunity to attend a participating private school. Established by an act of the state legislature and launched statewide in 2012, the program is designed to empower parents with school choice by allowing public funds to follow the student to a non-public environment.
