Opportunity Scholarship Program (north Carolina)

Overview

The North Carolina Opportunity Scholarship Program provides vouchers to help low- and moderate-income families pay tuition at participating private schools. It was launched in 2014 by the North Carolina General Assembly to provide families with more educational choices by assisting with the cost of tuition and fees at a participating nonpublic school. The program aims to expand access to private education for students across the state by reducing financial barriers.
