Overview
The DC Opportunity Scholarship Program (OSP) is a federally funded program that provides vouchers to low-income residents of the District of Columbia to send their children to participating private schools. Established by Congress in 2004 as part of the DC School Choice Incentive Act, the program was created to offer families in the nation's capital expanded educational opportunities and school choice. It is currently the only federally funded voucher program in the United States.
