Grace Herreid Memorial

Overview

Grace Herreid, or 'Gracie' as those that loved her knew her by, was the long time organist at St. Alice in Pequot Lakes for many years and a Pequot Lakes School teacher who was loved by many. She had four great loves: her Catholic Faith, Music, Family and Education; her love for God and her love of music filled worship with sweetness. Gracie was a disciplined, perfectionist typing teacher at Pequot Lakes High School and was known for her quiet smile, keen intelligence, and gracious manners which had a calming effect on those around her. It was Gracie’s loving family who established this scholarship to honor her memory and continue her legacy of sharing gifts generously with the children and grandchildren of the community.
