A & D Hewitt Memorial Scholarship

Overview

The A&D Hewitt Memorial Fund has been established under the auspices of the Oak Park-River Forest Community Foundation in memory of brothers Abel and Don Hewitt. This fund was created to support students who have overcome significant obstacles to pursue their education. It encourages and enables students to explore possibilities in new and varied areas of interests, expanded cultural experiences, leadership training, and new skills development, such as through internships. The Foundation believes that individuals inspire others when they are their most authentic selves and that personal communities must be inclusive, reflecting persons across all races, cultures, and religions.
