Janet Ban Scholarship

Overview

The Janet Ban Scholarship was established by Janet Ban, a teacher in Novi Community Schools and a resident of the community who was an advocate for all students. During her time as an educator, she taught English and Social Studies, and for many years she served as the teacher at the alternative high school. Because of her work with all varieties of students, Janet was compelled to create this scholarship for students who may have faced difficulties but were working to improve. She specifically stated that she wanted this scholarship to support the student that persevered and overcame challenges that at one point may have impacted their academic performance.
