Overview
The first LSF scholarship was created in 1981 to honor Chris Lampe, a Central High School student who died while running in a gym class. Seth and Pat Lampe founded Central Scholarship Funds, Inc. (now known as Legacy Scholarships Funds, Inc.) to provide scholarships to high school seniors going on to institutions of higher learning. The scholarship recognizes candidates for their academic achievement, citizenship, and perseverance.
