2009 U-M Regents Merit Scholarship Award

Overview

The Regents Merit Scholarship is awarded to incoming freshmen at the University of Michigan who have demonstrated exceptional academic achievement. The award is based primarily on the student's high school academic record, including GPA and standardized test scores. It is one of the university's most prestigious merit-based awards for residents of Michigan. It was established by the U-M Board of Regents to attract and retain the best and brightest students from the state of Michigan. In addition to the scholarship, recognition certificates are provided to the recipients’ high schools for presentation at spring awards convocations.
