Women’s Swimming Scholarships

Overview

Women’s swimming scholarships are equivalency awards offered by NCAA Division 1, Division 2, and NAIA programs, allowing coaches to divide funds for recruits in any manner ranging from full scholarships to partial tuition, room and board, or the price of lab fees and books. These scholarships were established to support high school swimmers seeking to compete at the collegiate level, with recruitment focused on student-athletes whose individual strengths contribute to a team's success at the conference and national levels. Additionally, programs such as those in the NJCAA and CCCAA provide opportunities for swimmers to prove their academic and athletic success before transferring to four-year institutions.
