Title IV Grants

Overview

Title IV programs were created to ensure that all Americans have the opportunity to pursue postsecondary education regardless of their financial circumstances. These federal financial aid programs are authorized under Title IV of the Higher Education Act of 1965 and include the Federal Pell Grant, Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (FSEOG), and Iraq and Afghanistan Service Grants. These grants are generally need-based and do not have to be repaid.
