Oratorical Contest Scholarships

Overview

The American Legion High School Oratorical Scholarship Program is an academic challenge and opportunity to gain scholarship funds that has been held for more than 80 years. The contest, titled 'A Constitutional Speech Contest,' was established to help students learn about the United States Constitution with an emphasis on a citizen’s duties and obligations to our government. Participants develop leadership qualities, the ability to think and speak clearly, and a deeper understanding of the rights and privileges of American citizenship.
