Step up for Scholarships Program

Overview

The Step Up for Scholarships Program is a fundraising initiative by the Madison Educational Foundation where customers of Madison Municipal Utilities can help fund scholarships for Madison High School students by allowing their monthly municipal utility bills to be rounded up to the nearest whole dollar. The additional amount is given to the Madison Central School Educational Foundation to build a scholarship fund to provide a scholarship to each Madison High School graduate who continues their education at Dakota State University and meets the program eligibility requirements. The program was established to create a sustainable way for the community to support local graduates in their pursuit of higher education.
