Established in 2024, the Rich Vellucci Outstanding Wrestler Scholarship's goal is to deliver an annual scholarship to a student wrestler that embodies the character and integrity that Rich Vellucci exemplified daily to help them succeed in their postsecondary education. The scholarship serves as a living memorial to honor Rich's impact on the Lake Orion Wrestling program and the community, specifically recognizing his dedication as a key member of the 1990 State Championship team and his commitment to coaching youth wrestling. Rich dedicated countless hours to the sport, supporting coaches at meets and tournaments, and worked tirelessly to build a successful life for his family.
