Sharpe Family Scholarship

Overview

Established by Ron and Wini Sharpe, longtime employees of Kirtland Community College, this scholarship was created to benefit students residing in Grayling and Roscommon. Both Ron and Wini grew up in families that struggled financially, and they established this fund in hopes that their donation would help students achieve their educational goals. The scholarship reflects their philosophy, captured by a Winston Churchill quote: "We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give."
