The Distinguished Artist Award (DAA) is granted to incoming first-year and transfer students at Hope College who possess strong academic records and outstanding creative abilities in the visual and performing arts, including art, dance, music, theatre, and creative writing. Established to recognize and support talented artists, the program provides financial assistance to students who intend to major or minor in their respective artistic fields and contribute to the college's creative community. The award aims to foster a vibrant artistic environment by attracting individuals with exceptional potential in various creative disciplines while they pursue their undergraduate education.
