Overview
Lionel Jordan grew up in Pontiac, Michigan; he graduated from Oakland Catholic High school and attended Hampton University. Lionel was a people person who enjoyed life and his infectious personality made it hard for anyone not to like him. His love of music was only outdone by his love of family. Lionel was a caddie at Forest Lake Country Club so we thought it was appropriate to host this invitational in honor of Lionel Jordan. Tommy Longest grew up in Detroit, Michigan attending University of Detroit Jesuit High School and Benedictine Catholic High School. He attended Morehouse College for one year and received his bachelor’s degree in Industrial Distribution from Eastern Michigan University. He also received a certificate in business from Dartmouth University’s Tuck School of Business. He worked as an Administrative Assistant for John Conyers, Jr., but he always had an entrepreneurial spirit starting several businesses that continue to prosper such as Precision Components Manufacturing and Diversified Manufacturing and Assembly just to name a few. He believed in giving back to the community which was demonstrated in his service on many philanthropic boards such as CCB/MGP; Henry Ford Community College and The Detroit C.A.T.C.H. Foundation. He had a love for life and for his family. The Scholarship supports participants from the CCB/MGP and Students of the Pontiac School District. The College Career & Beyond/MGP is a 501(c)(3) corporation that was founded in 2001.
