Blessed Frassati Camp Scholarship Fund

Overview

Michelle Kuhar established the Blessed Frassati Camp Scholarship Fund in honor of Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati, a mountain-climbing, fun-loving outdoorsman. Inspired by her nephew’s excitement over camp and his bi-racial heritage, Kuhar created the fund to provide financial assistance to Black/African American youth to attend a week-long boys camp each summer at Camp Sancta Maria. Blessed Frassati serves as the patron for the young campers due to his love of nature, the Eucharist, and his example as a lay saint.
