Alex Thoresen Memorial Mission Trip Scholarship

Overview

Established in 2018, the Thoresen Family and friends established the Alex Thoresen ’12 Memorial Mission Trip Scholarship at Brother Rice after losing Alex to a courageous battle with cancer. As a senior, Alex traveled to Peru with fellow Warriors, and his life was changed. Alex developed a deep commitment to serving others, especially those most in need. Before his passing, he left us all with a powerful challenge: “Perform an act of kindness for a stranger… Spread a little love on my behalf. Do some good.”
