John E. Birney ’76 Endowed Scholarship

Overview

Members of the Class of 1986 formed this endowed scholarship to honor their fellow Warrior and teacher, Mr. John Birney ’76, in gratitude for his many years of service to Brother Rice as both teacher and President, and in recognition of the impact he made in the lives of his students and our community. This endowed fund was established through the generous contributions of alumni to provide lasting financial assistance to deserving students. By investing contributions in a diversified portfolio, the fund generates annual income to remove financial barriers to a Brother Rice education.
