Skill Building and Summer Camp Scholarships

Overview

Berkley/Huntington Woods Youth Assistance (BHWYA) is a non-profit organization established to strengthen youth and families and to reduce the incidence of delinquency, abuse, and neglect through community involvement. BHWYA sponsors Camp Scholarships for youth in the Berkley School District who may not be able to afford a camp experience, helping children broaden skills, develop independence and resourcefulness, and enhance positive social interactions. The program is preventative in nature and developed by volunteers who live and/or work in the Berkley and Huntington Woods communities with support from local cities and the school district.
