Overview

The Steve Smith Endowed Scholarship is awarded to a limited number of incoming first-year students who are graduating from high schools in Detroit. The scholarship is intended for tuition purposes and is contingent upon students maintaining their in-state residency status at Michigan State University. Unlike most other resident scholarships at the university, this award requires a separate application that must be accessed through the student's account portal.
