Distinguished First-year Scholarship

Overview

The Distinguished First-year Scholarship is awarded to twenty runners-up in the Alumni Distinguished Scholarship competition at Michigan State University. These awards are part of a suite of scholarships for high-achieving incoming first-year students based on criteria like intellectual performance, grade point average, and standardized test scores. Consideration is automatic for students who apply for admission by November 1 and participate in the Alumni Distinguished Scholarship examination.
